Businiess name:  Dovelewis 24 Hour Emergency & Icu Animal Hospital - Northwest

Review content:
The people here who have complained must have come on a holiday (when all other vets are closed and they are busy) or have never been to an emergency room (human or animal) in their lives. The care my animals have received at Dove Lewis is second to none, and though I have had to wait behind other people whose animals were actually dying at that moment; I still feel that I was treated with compassion in a difficult time when money was short at my household. I am grateful that they provided even meager assistance to me, when no other emergency vets (or the others I called) could. It was expensive, but it is the best and you really get what you pay for. I had previously been to the old hospital, and it was run down and way overcrowded. I think the new hospital helps provide what they need to practice the best medicine possible. Be aware that if an animal comes in that is more severely injured or sick then yours it will be seen first (just like at a human emergency room), which may cause you to wait a bit, so bring a book! Otherwise, they are an excellent emergency resource to the community and the animals Portland! Pros: Open 24/7, 365 days a year! Honest Vets! Compassionate staff! Cons: Can wait awhile, never fun to be at an emergency vet...
