Businiess name:  Dovelewis 24 Hour Emergency & Icu Animal Hospital - Northwest

Review content:
I recently took a severely injured stray kitten to a different Dove Lewis hospital (the one near Mall 205). I had heard of this hospital and knew they provided 24 hour emergency services. However, I thought that they would provide provide some level of humane care for this kitten, since I know they are a non-profit and that they are the recipient of a lot of fund raising and publicity, etc. They have a good PR person. But they offered me only two alternatives for this kitten. Take responsibility for him and pay up or we euthanize him if you leave him as a stray. I just couldn't let this bright, healthy little kitten die just because he had a mangled leg. So I told them I would pay for temporary care and then look for a way to come up with the money to have an amputation done. The minute I said I didn't want him to die, they charged me for everything they did ($225). The next day Companion Pet Clinic on 82nd did the amputation for a total of $285. I'm confused about who is the non-profit here. By the way, he's doing very well with his three legs and is a healthy, happy kitten.\r
