I've been going to Sam's Italian sandwhich shop with my family since I was a kid, and I've always enjoyed the food. In the past few years I have only been a handful of times, as I no longer live in the area. My husband had their pizza a year or so ago and he loved it, and has been dying to go back!! Yesterday while visiting my Parents in Freeport I decided we could go there for dinner. I was extremely disapointed. First, the young lady who was ringing up our order made some kind of mistake which made our order 8 dollars more than it should have been, no big deal. We pointed it out and she tried to fix it but I believe she may have been new, so another worker came to help her out. After just reading back our order to us and not figuring out where things went wrong he got extremely frustrated and walked off. As he walked off he yelled ""I'm not doing this S***""!!!! We were shocked! There we kids and families sitting right there. He then came back to the register and had a few words with my husband, when my husband told him he was being extremely immature the young man proceded to tell him to ""F*** off"". Being in the restaurant buisness for over 10 years my husband was shocked that someone would talk to a client like that, no matter what the situation. A few other workers looked a little panicked and didn't do much to ease the situation. At that point we had lost our appetite and asked for our money back so we could leave. I did call today to make a complaint with the manager Christine against The young man, Luke. She offered a free lunch/dinner to compensate for the events but didn't seem too worried about what had happened, I declined. I'll never step foot in there again as long as they continue employing rude teenagers. I will be calling back this week to see what actions they took, and to speak with the owner if no type of punishment was enforced.
