Review content:
While the merchanise in this store is impressive, the service is at best perfunctory. After calling the store to confirm, I drove from Downtown LA to bring in 5 boxes of items to be ""appraised"" verbally (which they offer free of charge as opposed to anything written which is $5 an item). First, I carried all 5 boxes one-at-a-time from my car, putting each one down at the store door so that I could twist the door knob to bring them in (no offer from the family of even opening the door for me). I told the man, one of the 3 generations who run/own the store, that I brought a pen and postit to jot down any price, etc. he offered - his response was ""I am not going to slow down for you and you might get something if you can speed write"". He began digging roughly ( and I do mean roughly) through my items and those he looked at he tossed on the floor in a pile. His demeanor was dismissive and rude. I picked up the items from the floor, repacked them and without an offer to open the door, no surprise there, (even though there was not a single person in the store), I returned them one-by-one to my car. I hope ""they"" read this: it does not take any longer or more energy to be friendly. I will not and would not recommend this ""gallery"" to anyone. It's a wonder they have been in business for so long..........
