Review content:
I've visited this restaurant twice - once in Oct. 2007 and again in Jan. 2008. In October, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience AFTER the floor manager took over for our waitress whose shift apparently ended during our meal. And her attitude suggested that it was time for her to leave. Despite the rocky start, the only complaint I had was that the restaurant was drafty. \r \r When I returned in January, I was eager to take friends there but it was a bust. One person's soup was cold, the grilled WARM portobello soup was cold, the bread was cold to the touch, and one coffee was cold (whipped cream floated in it like an iceberg). The lobster ravioli which my friend enjoyed in Oct. was bland in Jan. Our waiter was perfectly indifferent to our requests/complaints (telling us that that they don't serve WARM bread when we told him the bread wasn't even room temperature - which isn't saying that much given that the restaurant was again drafty). Also, I spoke with the floor managers about my differing experiences at the restaurant and how I would be hesitant to return in the future. They thanked me for my feedback and offered nothing - no dessert, no discount, no apology to the table.\r \r So while I plan to return to the area often, I will spread the word and will not return to that restaurant. This is the first review that I've ever been moved to write. So steer clear. While your experience could be good, it just might not be. Pros: Close to Broadway Cons: Everything else. It's just a roll of a dice as to what kind of service you'll have from night to night.
