My son was instructed by the valet at the ""Mosaic? in South Beach"" to double park in a regular space to unload equipment to bring up to a unit owner for a New Years Eve Party. My son told the valet he would be there overnite and gave his cell number and the resident?s info he was going to see to call in case of emergency. When he came down in the morning to get his vehicle; the pirates at Tremont had already towed it. My complaint is that the employee at Tremont would not check with the valet to see why this car was double parked prior to the tow. Furthermore, they would not let my son get his truck out of impound, but wanted us, his parents to drive down to Miami from WPB to sign for the vehicle. The license and insurance is in my son?s name, but that was not good enough. \r
I called & spoke with ""Manager Frank"". He told me he could make an exception, but my wife had ""yelled"" at him. My wife never spoke to him, but told my son to call the police as tow driver ran our vehicle into the wall when towing it. Now he turned into, ""Mean Manager Frank"" & said due to my wife's hostility he would not make an exception. I got ready to drive down (New Years Day) to get my sons vehicle. \r
Minutes later, my son calls & informs us ?Mean Manager Frank? left for an hour & if we faxed my wife?s license to him, the other employee ""would make an exception"". ?Mean Manager Frank? had told me $150 on the phone, but my son paid $200 cash to the other guy as no credit cards are taken.\r
Bottom line is, this company needs to be stranded by the merchants that employ them & select another firm to do their towings. As a business owner in Florida,I would never have such a firm with rude, inconsiderate, & arrogant staff represent my company for third party services. \r
?Mean Manager Frank? needs to be given the hook himself. The damage done by Tremont Towing to my son?s vehicle was dismissed by Mean Manager Frank. Quote ""If one of my trucks did it, there would have been a lot more damage"".
