I enjoy the special attention. Unlike other facilities Empower is a training center not a ""gym."" Most members workout a trainer. I train or rather ""rehab"" with Michael Whitehurst master trainer and exercise physiologist. I broke my back and was not having any luck with the physical therapy programs etc. When a 60+ year old friend of mine did a back flip off my cement stairs got up and went to play tennis. ....This is woman who looked wrong and broke a bone. I asked ""why I did not have to call 911"" and she said ""Empower!"" I consulted with Micheal and he had a similar injury and he thought a year would get me back to my ole self. I have been plugging away slowly at first, now I go 3x/week. It is very hard work I will not lie, but I love it in the end... :) Pros: Michael Whitehurst very smart, environment is very clean/fun Cons: small
