This place is gorgeous. Forget that the surrounding neighborhood is nondescript--the interior is carnivalesque and cute. Sangria is good, service is fine, and the food is tasty for L.A. pseudo-Caribbean catered to the Anglo palate. The good news? Your palate is probably satisfied with low salt, spices that LOOK like seasoning but don't add a whole lot of flavor. Heck, next to diner food, this place seasons like El Spicy Diablo Loco or whatever. So don't sweat it. You'll love it. Me, I just close my eyes and pretend that one day soon I'll dine in Miami, New York, Jamaica, Cuba, DR, PR, etcetera. Pros: Fun-looking place with Great music Cons: Another pseudo-Caribbean, Anglo-pleaser cuisine
