we happen to LOVE smokin' joe's--we think it is the best barbecue we've ever had!! every year we go to the smokies and we ALWAYS eat at joe's. they absolutely cook over an open pit--we met smokin joe out back in the smokehouse and he showed us how he smokes the meat. what a nice man he was! huge portions of fall-off-the-bone ribs and brisket and pulled pork, and the spicy sauce is outta this world! we know bbq in st louis and smokin joes is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
