Review content:
This place is a mainstay in Colorado Springs and truly one of the great restaurants that's differentiated from all of the chains. If you come to Colorado Springs, this is simply one of the places you HAVE to visit. \r
\r
The menu is diverse, but the one thing you can't miss is the pizza. It's truly an experience, with a medium-thick crust, a homemade sauce, and generous (and I mean really generous!) toppings. The owner of the restaurant, Ed Colt, still works in the kitchen everyday after some 30+ years and is back there cooking pizzas, so you owe it to yourself to try his amazing recipe. \r
\r
This place is HUGE- it seats about 600 people with 9 or 10 different rooms with totally different atmospheres. Try to get a trackside seat so you've got a direct view of the trains- they still roll by every hours and it's a lot of fun when the whole place rumbles with a big freight train!\r
\r
All in all, just a great, fun place with the kind of character you can't find easily. The building is some 120+ years old and is really amazing.
Pros: Great pizza, atmosphere.
Cons: Menu is a little overwhelming. Can get very crowded.
