Review content:
I don't like to criticize restaurants but I can't help but express that this one is just a little over rated. The food is o.k. at best, the ambience is nice, not spectaular, service is good, and the portions are miniscule. My wife and I enjoy really fine cuisine, wine and impeccable service, but we also like to be satisfied when we dine out. I have to say after dining at Jean Georges with 6 friends every one of us left hungry and the only one who truly enjoyed their selection was my wife and one other woman, they both had a scallop appetizer and lobster entree, which were actually quite good. I had a foie gras appetizer, I love foie gras, this one did not impress, there were too many veines running through it and it was roughly the size of silver dollar. My Arctic Char was tasteless and there was nothing on the plate with it, very dissappointing. I usually say give any restaurant a chance but if you want to spend $200 a person for dinner go to Babbo or Ramsey's or Wolfgang's, you can skip this one.
