Want to hear a spooky story? Today approached the time for our car's oil change. I had a meeting at 8.30 in Import Domestic Auto Ctr, on Central St, in Acton. In the morning the rain was strong, and I had driven over and ran across to the garage. Scott - or so this person was called, he has a beard - took the keys to move the car from place to place. I accidentally parked directly in front of the entrance of the garage (remember? it was rain and no clients at the door!). In an hour the car was ready. When I got it back, I told him that I had a coupon for an oil change. Scott answered that he had already printed a price sheet. I told him that it is not so hard to reprint a price sheet. He said ""yes? Are you sure? Go ahead and show me how to do it"". I told him that I work in customer service and I know that it doesn't cost anything (buy the way, when you usually give coupons to register clerk? right before you swipe your credit card, right? not at entrance, never). He told me that he won't reprint the price sheet and that I should pay the full price, without the coupon. I asked him to contact his manager. He started SHOUTING that he is the manager. Then, when I asked him to apologize for his rude behavior, he answered that I should apologize for parking the car directly in front of the entrance that morning and that he had to move it ( I was his first and only customer so far, as the garage was empty! and the people there weren't doing anything). So I told him, ""OK, I apologize; now it’s your turn"". He told me that he will not apologize, and asked what I wanted from him. I said that I wish to talk to his chief. He answered, ""If it is necessary to YOU, YOU call!” while poking me with his dirty finger. On my honor, I tell you that nobody has ever talked to me like this in US! Then he threw a price sheet at my face and told me to take the car free of charge. Again, I asked him to call his chief. Then he sat down at the computer and printed a new price sheet, including the discount for the coupon. At the same time, he was sniffing loudly, and crumpled and threw out three sheets of paper. I understood that he was very angry at me. Then I paid for the oil change at the new price, and said ""thanks"" and ""have a good day"" to him. He kept his mouth locked. My family - my husband and I - we are using this garage for the second year now. Service was always very good. The chief - the tall man - is always very polite and attentive. They have done a lot of good to our cars. What happened today? I do not know. Perhaps, Scott slept badly at night, or he had a colic. Either way, his manner of conversation, his behavior, and his relationship to the client today was awful, horrible, unacceptable, and absolutely nonprofessional. Why they keep sending their coupons all over the town? The only thing that can explain his behavior is that today is four days away from Halloween. If he wanted to scare me, he succeeded. To me this is terrible. I am scary now to get next appointment for our second car. I think I'll never ask them again to help me with my car, change car's oil, etc. I do not want for someone to talk like THAT to me, even if it is a mechanic. Now I will stay away from Import Domestic Auto Ctr, on Central St, in Acton, MA.
