Review content:
I was not impressed with my experience at Sibling Rivalry. My boyfriend and I made reservations here in hopes to find a new restaurant to frequent. I had heard from a co-worker that this place was a lot of fun and she really liked it. Unfortunately, I can't share in her thoughts. \r

When we arrived the hostess was friendly and checked us in. As we were waiting to get seated, the man who was going to be seating us walked up to us mumbling things like ""are you kidding me?"", and he generally just looked annoyed. He seemed as if he was trying to be nice, but we were wasting his time. Our server was nice, however I felt a little rushed, or like I was not of his normal caliber customer. I ordered what I thought would be good - the descriptions of the dishes were very descriptive (and I commend them for that). When I got my appetizer it smelled revolting and tasted even worse. And, no, I didn't order something with ingredients I had never had or disliked.\r

The rest of the food was okay. Nothing to call home about. The general demeanor of the restaurant as the night went on became more and more apparent to me. I felt like I was among a snobby-too-good-for-anyone staff and I didn't feel like I fit in at all. When we were getting ready to leave, my boyfriend left a tip for what he thought was sufficient for the service we received. It was between 10 and 15%, so its not like we left nothing. As we were exiting the restaurant, not only did we see the waiter immediately pick up and open our check, but we heard him sneer and make some remark regarding the amount of the tip we gave him. If you are going to do that, at least keep it private so your guests do not see or hear you.\r
\r
I do not recommend going here, for the food or the experience. If you can handle the snobby attitudes of the staff and the pretentiousness of the place as a whole, by all means do go - they do offer an interesting menu unlike many other restaurants.
Pros: Interesting atypical menu
Cons: Average food for an above average price. Snobby staff/atmosphere.
