Review content:
I recently moved to Columbia from Dallas and was nervous about finding a new hair salon. I went to an Aveda salon in Dallas that I loved so I figured I couldn't go wrong with that...but that wasn't the case. First, it was almost impossible to make an appointment. Every time I called I got an answering machine and when I finally left a message no one called me back. I should have seen this as a sign. They charge $15 (I think) for a ""consultation"". I decided I would give it a try. When I went back to get my hair highlighted she barely remembered what we had talked about. \r

In most upscale salons you are offered lemon water, coffee or even a glass of wine. Not here. Now, I could really care less if they offer me a drink, however, after being there for almost 4 hours I was quite parched. And considering the price they charged this should definitely be part of the service. The stylist was nice enough, but did what SHE thought was best for my hair. So, instead of making it look presentable it is now a ""Work in progress"" as my natural color grows out (hard to explain). It isn't like I was coloring my own hair before I came here - I was going to another Aveda salon! After getting the bill I was floored at the amount. They had told me the 100% foil would be $100 but I didn't expect the haircut to cost $75. Both of these are more than I paid in a much more sophisticated Dallas Salon. I am sorry to say the whole experience was quite disappointing.
