Review content:
I love Soul Vegetarian -- both locations -- however, I'd like to use this opportunity to sing the praises of the vegan Sunday Brunch. Brunch options for vegans are usually few and far between, but at Soul Veg, everything's vegan! Sunday morning is cafeteria style, serving a savory scrambled tofu, traditional hash browns, handmade ""sausage"" and tofu ""bacon"" (nice smoke flavor and crispness), broccoli with red peppers, plus grits, biscuits, and THE WORLD'S BEST VEGAN PANCAKES. The pancakes alone are worth the trip -- but bring your own maple syrup if you're a die-hard stickler for the real thing. There's nothing fancy about the ambience in Soul Veg #1, however, there is plenty of room for a large party (or two or three or four), and the seating area has several sections accommodating different sized groups. The place has a ""conscious"" feel -- you sense that deep discussions are going on all around you -- which makes for a nice Sunday vibe. And the people -- servers and guests alike -- are friendly and genuine. If you are both brunch-lover and vegan like me, this place is a haven.
