Review content:
I bought a Peth Home.\r \r I had to replace all the cedar siding, because it wasn't installed properly.\r \r First, it wasn't back or face primed, and second, it wasn't nailed up correctly. The cedar should have been nailed into the studs (on 24"" centers). Most of it was just hanging from nails into the sheating which was worthless celotex. Even worse were some short pieces that were too short to reach any studs.\r \r I back primed the new cedar, and installed it over OSB using Tyvek. I then face primed it before the new color coat. \r \r This guy supposedly has a great reputation, but I don't know why. I can find too many short cuts in my home and sloppy work to consider it more than general quick-to-get the buck building.
