Just looking in the windows, most adults would recognize that this is NOT a place to take a child or dog! The magnificent art pieces -- mostly glass/crystal -- are set on low glass tables (also art pieces that are for sale), or hanging from the ceiling and walls. This arrangement permits customers to get a good view of the items. But, as in other art galleries, visitors are asked to view but not touch. I stopped in once after a woman had stopped in with a dalmatian and a child. The latter, ""just standing"" near the door while mom shopped, picked up a piece and dropped it while trying to put it back on the table. The breakage to the piece, other pieces and table was several thousand dollars. Mom, child and dog ran out. Perhaps people like this are the reason the owner is very uneasy with children in the shop. I have been in the store more than once when a child was REALLY ""just standing there"" or holding an adult's hand, and the owner did not ""freak out.""\r Every light fixture is handmade, colorful and one-of-a-kind. (You'll see them in some Half Moon Bay restaurants.) Most of the artwork is glass, including beautiful bowls, wine glasses, platters and mirrors. The shop truly is an art gallery and a treat to visit even if the items are out of your price range. \r So, hold your little one in your arms or by the hand and leave the older kids outside, and go inside. You'll be glad you did.
