This is not so much about the food as it is about the management - which stinks - and getting ripped off on our bill and drinks. My wife and I ate there while staying next door at the Naples Hilton in early December since the place was close and recommended by the front desk. The food was OK but we both had a couple margaritas and at best they barely had any tequila in them and at worst had none. Never a good sign when you're fairly certain you're getting a short pour on your cocktail. The prices are high, too high for Mexican food, and our waiter pulled a fast one on our order and then, when I asked about items on my bill, he looked like he forgot how to speak English and walked away. My wife was not very hungry so I ordered fajitas and was under the impression that a dinner salad came with the meal. It was listed right under the entrees heading with the other options that came with the food so I certainly expected it to. I wanted my wife to at least have a bite of something so I told the waiter that she was going to eat the salad and I was having the rest of the meal. He brought out a Caesar salad that we both thought seemed very large but since it was our first time there we didn't really know what to expect with any of the portion sizes and since the menu prices were pretty high we figured this was part of justifying the cost. The fajitas came next and I ate almost all of the meal with my wife taking a small bite or two and eating very little of the salad. When the bill came there was a separate charge for the Caesar salad as well as a charge for an extra tortilla shell. Huh? So I asked my waiter what was going on with the bill and he said the salad did not come with the meal and since we were splitting the food (in his opinion) he just took the liberty of making the salad order a separate meal and adding extra fees for a tortilla shell. I was clear when we ordered what we wanted to do with the meal and he did not alert me to any extra charges coming my way or to the fact that he was going to bring out the Caesar salad as a separate meal. Then he just blew off my questions about the bill and walked away. I told the hotel concierge and front desk about what happened. The hotel followed up by calling Flaccos' manager to get an explanation for themselves and he basically couldn't have cared less. What an idiot. The hotel has now scratched them from its list of recommended restaurants and will not be sending anymore business their way. I have no problem with restaurants that have some kind of a token fee for split meals but we both had a couple margaritas, got charged a couple bucks extra for a tiny scoop of guacamole, and overall spent a decent amount of money in there so they shouldn't have treated us like we were trying to rip them off, adding insulting fees for a tortilla shell that never was used just because they felt like it. Instead they ripped us off, especially on the tequila-free margaritas. Giving it 2 stars to be fair about the OK fajitas but ZERO stars if I could rate the cocktail thievery and management's attitude toward customer complaints. All this could have been easily avoided if the waiter would have been pleasant and communicated so we had a clue what he was writing up and converse with us to make sure we all knew what was going on. We'll never be back.
