I can not in good concience really rate the company, Smooth Mooove, on your scale because there is NOTHING about this moving company that deserves even one star! I agree with the previous comment, Smooth Mooove is anything BUT a smooth move for its customers. I sincerely wonder if they prey on the elderly, because we are seen as a vulnerable population. In my move, they lost several items, did not move several others, and did not follow my instructions or requests relative to moving my household goods; AND during the move my wallet was stolen. While I do not accuse the Smooth Mooove employees, I do feel that they had the most means and opportunity, i.e., they were continually removing empty cartons from my apartment and they were frequently in the vicinity of my purse. I have learned that the entire contents of my apartment is valued at no more than $300.00 since I foolishly signed documents at the commencement of the move without reading the content. Consequently I am being royally s_ _ _ _ed as the owner/manger has informed me that they do not cover certain of these items and that SHE must make an onsite inspection ""once everything is unpacked"" in order to determine the legitimacy of my claim. My request for a claim form(s) has not been satisfied. Of special concern to me, outside the theft of my wallet, is the fact that my belongings were left UNATTENDED in hallways/corridors for prolonged periods AND also during the movers' off-premises lunch break.\r

I would warn any and all individuals to avoid this moving company as you would the plague! And if you are foolhardy enough to contract with them for your move, DESPITE MY ADMONITIONS, BE CERTAIN TO READ EVERY WORD OF THE CONTRACT AND DEMAND COPIES OF ANYTHING YOU SIGN!
