I highly recommend this place to those wanting to try hawaiian food!! I hate the way some places here in the states try to do ""hawaiian"" food, but give it a bad name by using low quality meat products that make the food unappetizing and give the dishes a bad reputation. Ono Ono is not like that at all and truly does have ono grinds. I recommend it for any of hte three meals a day. All menu items well priced. Generous portion sizes. For breakfast, the pancake meals with added meats of spam, portugese sausage or bacon are really yummy. For lunch they have variety of hawaiian plate lunch combos. For dinner, take friends and family and share an Ohana Meal. They have 2 different sizes of family packages that you customize with your choice of 6 or so different entree choices and sides of your choice. There is also hawaiian shave ice if you just want to stop by for a snack or finish off your lunch with something cool. All around happy to have found this place, and for any who have been to some of the other ""hawaiian"" food places here in So Cal in disapppointment, please try Ono Ono before passing final judgement on Hawaiian food. \r \r By the way, the restaurant is fresh and newly decorated but casual dining with plasma tvs on the walls and soothing island music over the sound system. Dont worry about dress up - for dress up hawaiian food place try Roy's Pacific Fusion ( I think its called). also very good but more expensive and more formal. Pros: large portions, good prices, service Cons: no haupia desert, can not order breakfast pancakes (da bes!!) after 11am
