The service here was more along the lines of a 5-star restaurant without having the exorbitant prices of one. They actually served from the left and removed from the right! Wow.\r \r The cocktails were excellent, albeit pricey for the call brands. I had the soup -- a lobster bisque -- and it was incredible. My date had the wedge salad with gorgonzola, which he enjoyed immensely until he tried my soup. :)\r \r for dinner, he ordered the special, crabcake and lobster. It was fabulous. Wish I had gotten it. I went with an item from the 11.50 menu, sauteed shrimp. it sounded good, but it had so much bacon in it, everything tasted like bacon -- the shrimp actually tasted like bacon. i am not a bacon fan, so i didn't like this at all. the cheese grits that it was served on top of were creamy and very tasty -- well, what wasn't covered up by the shrimp, corn and BACON mixture. \r \r Since it was a birthday, they brought my date a ganache covered vanilla cream cake thing. it's impossible to describe how wonderfully rich the cream filling was. and how well it went with the fresh berries and how nice the plating was. \r \r i would definitely go back, i just won't be having the shrimp again. Pros: ambience, service, most of the food Cons: the sauteed shrimp, the pricey bar.
