Review content:
Having shopped at our local Flowerama for years because of the large selection of beautiful flowers, affordable prices and great service we received every time we walked through the door, I didn?t have to think too long about where I felt we should purchase flowers for our wedding, and we ended up choosing Flowerama. At the Apple Valley location, our floral consultant Angela Kohrt was terrific ? she was very knowledgeable and I got the impression that she had much experience with weddings and special events. My husband and I came in with pictures and some idea of what we wanted, but by working with her I realized that there was so much more I hadn?t though of, such as ribbons and bows, greenery, the amount of different shades of every color, and flowers that wouldn?t work well in summer heat or wouldn?t last through lots of hugs. Angela?s extensive knowledge really made things easy for us! Our bouquets (6), corsages (3), boutonnieres (9), mother?s roses (2) and cake flowers (3 dozen roses) came to $574, which I considered to be very reasonable, and a few days before the wedding my husband and I dropped by the store to view our flowers. My husband could tell that Angela was nervous about what we would think ? he said he could see tears in her eyes when we told her how much we loved everything. I should confess that my bouquet was what I had asked for but wasn?t everything I had envisioned. Still, I was impressed by her work and could not wait for everyone to see our flowers! I think it speaks volumes that Flowerama hired a consummate professional such as Angela Kohrt, and although she is no longer with Flowerama, my husband and I didn?t choose Flowerama simply because we liked our floral consultant ? it was an all-around decision. We are proud to support our Flowerama because the service and prices are unbeatable, and they truly helped make our wedding day and photos unforgettable (see Ramsey Still Imaging's photo gallery, Jeff & Angie, Stillwater MN).
Pros: Angela put fake tulips in my bouquet to save money over using real tulips; store let us borrow buckets to transport cake roses; flowers were packaged nicely for easy transport
Cons: No delivery service for weddings; gladiolus bunches were expensive ($17.99/ea); flowers wilted fairly quickly (ours was an oudoor wedding though and it was very hot)
