I have been going to Calypso for years (Nashville Locations and Franklin) and I love it. I have to admit the very first time I went, I wasn't very impressed with the menu, so I didn't know what to order. You have to order the salads. Black Bean salad being the best. I know it sounds kind of weird what the ingredients are, but it is amazing! Now, if all you're going to order is the chicken, don't bother going. The salads are great, the black beans are great, the sauces are great, and the carrot cake is the best I've ever tasted. I'm not a vegetarian, but they have more vegetarian options than any other restaraunt that I have been to. And you have to remember it's Carribbean food. So don't think you're going to find a burger and fries (although they do have a Veggie Burger). I love the fruit tea, and no it does not taste like watered down orange juice. If you don't believe me about how great it is, try going in there at lunch and tell what all the people are doing waiting for a table!
Pros: Food, Food, Food
Cons: You may be a little alarmed by the wait staff that look like they just returned from Bonnaroo, but they're harmless!
