but the food is good (not exceptional). The service, however, is another story. The hostess seated as quickly and pleasantly. Then the wait began. It took at least 15 minutes for our server to ask for our order. Once we did order, things moved very slowly as if time had been set in slow motion. The server seemed disinterested. As a neighbor, I am disappointed to say that it was a frustrating experience for the price/quality. I though the shrimp appetizer was interesting and flavorful. The hangar steak was cooked properly but had little flavor. The ice cream was adequate. I am sure that many of my issues will be worked out in time, but the disinterested service at the beginning of a restaurant's life is reason for concern. If the delays had been kitchen-related, I would have been more understanding based on the newness of the venture. If the hostess (owner, I believe) is able to get her staff excited about the place, I am sure it will be a success. The area certainly needs nice restaurants.
