I spent nearly $4,000 to have my transmission built. They said they had experience in with the E153 Toyota transmission ... they had NO experience with the Toyota transmission based on the premature failure after rebuild. The repair lasted less than 3000 miles and less than 10 months. The warranty was for 90 days, so I was screwed big time. If you have a Toyota, use Phil's Toy Shop in Cary for repairs. They have been super honest and repairs are right the first time. I feel NC Transmissions should refund my money, but that will never happen. But at least my dissatisfaction has been well accepted in some of the local clubs. And I hope this forum will keep you out of their shop.
