Greetings;
This year for our Christmas vacation, we began our trip traveling cross-country from Washington DC to visit with family in Colorado Springs, Co. Much to our chagrin, we found ourselves broken down in central Indiana after stopping briefly for a rest stop. We noticed that our front driver's side wheel was set back to far against the wheel well. We were facing the worst possible travel scenario, after preparing for 2 months leading up to this trip spending nearly $1000 with our mechanic back home to ensure this wouldn't happen. I was dreading the various possibilities that would most certainly be our fate.
For many are less fortunate when faced with an unexpected vehicle break downs or automobile troubles, during their holiday travels along interstate I70, which is sure to bring about a scrooge-like bah humbug attitude to anyone's holiday season.
Fortunately, we did not have to experience a Chevy Chase-like Christmas Vacation; we were blessed to experience our own Christmas miracle similar Jimmy Stewart experience portrayed in It’s a Wonderful Life. Much to my surprise, and true to the spirit of Christmas, divine intervention had surely directed us to stay with the Super 8 located in Cloverdale.
Belinda Reynolds the Super 8 hotel manager had saved us from Christmas vacation disaster. With her warm hospitality and much needed advice. She was both helpful with our room choice, as well as thoughtful to remember possible discounts and worked hard to lower our rates. Belinda and her staff were also accommodating when needing to extend our stay and change rooms to meet our needs as they arose.
Belinda undoubtedly saved us hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars with her thoughtful referral to a honest auto repair man named Jeff Everman at Discount Tires and Service in Cloverdale. Jeff most certainly knew what he was doing with our BMW. He too had shown us the spirit of Christmas by working within our budget and had to work well past his normal hours of operation on our behalf.
We truly received a five star treatment here in Cloverdale Super 8 and would recommend it to anyone who may be passing through. The entire staff during our stay from Monday, December 20th 2010 through Wednesday, December 22, 2010 was professional accommodating and went out of their to ensure we were comfortable and felt welcome at all times.
I travel some with my company Erik Financial and I would recommend it to any who may find themselves in need of lodging while traveling in central Indiana on I70.
