Review content:
The large number of guest cars attracted me to this Motel. The exterior appearance of the building is unbelievably terrible. Festoons of TV cables from the roof antennas. Entry into the foyer is not much better. Smoking is not allowed however there is a slight smell of curry. The establishment is run by an extended family originally from India - staff are from Mexico. The day rate is about half of the surrounding motels. Even Priceline could not compete with the Grove Motel price. They only accept cash so I assume tax not-paid would account for the low rate. Weekly rate is even significantly lower but you have to reside on the higher floor with the undesirables. The place is clean and located amongst countless shops. Ample safe parking. The $50 small microwave oven in the hallway is shared with the 23 downstairs rooms. The largish room is complete with a large bar fridge and old cheap furniture. Hotwater is great, the bathroom mirror is held closed with duct tape - maintenance is obviously kept to zero. The TV is so large and heavy it would never be stolen. I had to ask for a remote - it did everything except change channels. Wifi has reasonable speed. Windows are kept closed with steel conduit to prevent entry from outside. Bent Insect screens from previous attempts to enter. Noisy box air-conditioners struggle to keep the room temperature down. Pets are not allowed which explains why pets are sneaked out at night for walkies. Inexpensive laundry facilities. I would be embarrased invite friends over - they are not allowed anyway. \r \r Overall I liked the place.
