I absolutely do not recommend Desert Autoplex in Tempe/Avondale. They claim to sell certified pre-owned vehicle that go through an 82 point inspection. They also have a misleading bumper to bumper warranty poster on their windows and walls. It looks very appealing but it?s an extra purchase for most. My truck was advertised that it came with it so when I purchased my 2004 Silverado I asked the salesman to write this 90 day 4500 mile warranty on my paperwork. I was told to make a list and contact their Tempe store service dept for my repairs. I took my truck into them 7 times in 2 months. I got inspections from 4 alignment shops to prove that the front end needed major repair.\r \r The truck was not certified with the major repairs and concerns involved driveshaft carrier bearing falling apart, front wheel bearings, water pump, brake booster, tie rods, leaking transfer case, emergency brake inoperable, steering shaft, glow plugs inoperable, shock absorbers leaking, shift linkage won?t click into park lock, and much much more.\r They attempted to repair a transfer case leak by smearing sealant on the seems and leaving it dry with no fluid. I ended up taking it to a real transmission shop. I also ended up taking it to the dealer for some of the other repairs. That visit cost me $2,700.00 and that?s not even all of it. \r They tried to put an extended warranty on it two months after my vehicle purchase and it was denied for the time lapse, known pre-existing conditions and no payment was sent in. They are dishonest people not just to you and I but to the people they do business with. I could go on and on but you get the point. They made good cover ups to make the truck look so ?mildly used? They spray painted the under body, pressure washed away all and any leak indicators, drained the transfer case fluid so it wouldn?t leak, installed new tires to hide major front end problems, added more anti-freeze with each service visit so I couldn?t monitor the loss.
