There's 2 Shannons in Long Beach. One in Belmont Shore and this one in Downtown. I haven't been to the one in Belmont so i can't really compare but as for the DT one, it's one of the better dive bars i've been to in Long Beach. You have plenty of flatscreen TVs mounted everywhere you look pretty much. Perfect for game days. Really hot bartenders (female) that serve with a smile. And since it's downtown it gets a consistent amount of traffic all through the week but really gets crazy on thurs fri and sat nights after 10PM. And of course Sunday afternoons during football season. I've tried their food once too and it was better than i expected considering its a dive bar. But since its in downtown theres plenty of alternatives if you wanna eat before or after getting loaded up at Shannons. Whatever your style is, youll leave this place happy. Pros: Friendy staff, damn good looking female staff, plenty of flatscreens for game days, great for meeting people. Cons: Unless you live downtown there's only paid parking garages.
