i had no idea how hard it was to find a good puerto rican restaurant! the parking is non-existent, so I don't recommend driving...but WOW was this place worth it. \r I had the pastele, my older daughter ordered the shrimp asada (it was a soupy kind of shrimp with broth) and the younger daughter ordered bistec y sebolla (steak and onions) which as very flavorful, although not the best cut of meat, if you're picky about stuff like that...however, it was very good. \r shrimp dish was amazing. perfectly seasoned with a hint of heat. the shrimps themselves werent as creamy smooth as I like it, but absolutely delicious. \r my pastele? well, lets just say ... I've never, ever eaten pastele from anyone but my mom, these were absolutely delicious, perfect amount of pork and seasonings...my kids want to learn how to make them...the only drawback was there was only one pastelle served...not enough to share adequetly. rice was creamy soft and steaming hot, the beans had a similar bit of heat to them as described in the shrimp dish. My youngest daughter is IMPOSSSIBLE to please when ordering out. I thought she would order the chiken and white rice & leave 3/4 of it on her plate...well, this daughter of a Puerto Rican ate like a champ and fell asleep on my shoulder afterwards with a heavy sigh said,"" mommie, that was delicious, thank you"" what better endorsement? service was grand, and the men are flirty in a very respectful way...they fussed over everyone. I had a beer with supper & the bill came to under 50 bux. hello!! I really love this place and can't wait to go back. it's worth the trip from Long Beach\r Pros: Food, prices, proximity to everything else on westside Cons: parking
