Review content:
I too am surprised to see all of the negative reviews. My fiancé and I went to Steven Singer Jewelers after shopping many other jewelry stores for our wedding bands. My engagement ring is a rather odd setting so I was having difficulty finding a wedding band that looked right with it. I thought for sure that I was going to have to ""settle"" for a band that was just ""close enough"". We went to Steven Singer on a Saturday afternoon and were made to feel very welcome. The girl greeted us and led us to our customer service person, Russ. I can't speak for the other customer sales people but Russ was wonderful!!! I would highly recommend him. One of the first things he said to us is that he does not work on commission - he is merely there to provide customer service and offer us the information we needed to make an informed decision. He sat with us for well over an hour and never pressured us at all. He did not try to sell us the most expensive rings they had. He listened to what we wanted and offered us several options. Yes, they offer you beer, wine, water or sodas as well as fresh baked cookies. They don't try to get you liquored up as a means to get deeper into your pockets. Russ took the time to explain everything that Steven Singer has to offer, including in house rings and custom options. Their jeweler is on-site so everything is made right there in-house and nothing has to get shipped out, cutting out the middle man and thus allowing them to keep their costs competitive. After spending all that time with us, Russ recommended that we continue to shop around to see if we could find exactly what we were looking for. Luckily, the store that had my ""close enough"" band was close by so we went there to look at the band again. After looking at the price, and realizing that I would just be settling for this band, we returned directly to Steven Singer. Russ greeted us again and we talked through what we were thinking. Ultimately I decided to go with a custom band which will match my engagement ring perfectly. My fiancé also found his wedding band there at a very reasonable price. I have never had such a pleasant experience shopping for jewelry. I am extremely excited to see my band and have full confidence that Russ will come through for us and my band will be perfect. I will post again once we get our bands.
