Review content:
Being locals, we really want this place to succeed. Unfortunately, they seem determined to run the business into the ground. You walk in the door and see numerous beer taps offering an excellent selection of draft beers, but this is a ploy. None of the taps are functional. You would think that a German restaurant would know the difference between a bratwurst and a knockwurst. After asking if they had bratwurst, I ordered one but I got a knockwurst that looked liked it sat on a grill at a convenience store for a week or two. It was so tough and knarly that I almost asked for a steak knife to cut it. I guess if we want good German food we’ll keep on going to the Mountain Brauhaus in Round Top even though it’s a forty mile drive each way and Zwicklbauer’s is just a few miles from our house.
Pros: Nice view of Warners Lake
Cons: Poor food
