Review content:
I thought I knew what a good burger was until I went to Red Coat. The Piedmontese beef if amazing: I read that it actually has less fat than salmon (but I'll have to do more research to see if it's true). The beef was cooked just like I ordered and it came quickly. My colleague ordered the Tavern Salad. I think it had chicken and a poached pear on it, and she said it was wonderful. They also had some interesting menu items as well, but it would be hard to go there again and not have the burger.
My only criticism is that it's crowded. The red lighting is a little odd, too. If you want a quiet, romantic date, Red Coat Tavern is NOT the place. It's very loud, especially over by the bar. But if you are craving a fantastic burger, it's the place to go!
Pros: best burger, great value, prompt service
Cons: crowded, loud, have to wait
