After a terrible morning dealing with Walter's Well and Pump Service being told all the wrong information. Rural Plumbing and Heating sent a guy out to my house. We pulled the pump from the well and replaced everything including 380 ft. of wire, rope, and pipe on a new pump. The old pump had sprung a leak at the coupling that attached the old pipe to the old pump. Much better solution than Walter's which was wait until fall or drill another well. I would highly recommend Rural Plumbing and Heating.
