I had my 40th birthday party at the Ramsey Country Club on May 9th, 2009. I sent the following letter the next day to the catering manager, I have had no repsonse:
Michael,
I was very disappointed in the staff last night. I had specifically asked to have at least 1 staff per 15 guests - you knew I was concerned about people getting table service. I hardly saw the staff all night - and I don't think I saw more than four servers at all.
We had agreed to have coffee served at table, if people wanted espresso, etc., you did not provide that.
People were literally looking for cake - I took home 3/4 of the sheet cake - you did not cut and serve the cake! Only one girl was bringing out trays of cake. That was a HUGE waste.
I was most upset about my party favors, which I spent time and money on, and which you KNEW I wanted distributed, you said you would replace them on the placecard table, no one did this, let alone help hand them out. They were hidden when most of the guest had departed. I did NOT appreciate your comment ""It's not our job to hand out your party favours."" In fact, it was, as we had specifically discussed this. Is that something you say to your brides?
We also had discussed at the time of booking that I wanted extended cocktail hour. You were not prepared for this.
Jo did a nice job and I hope you will pass on her tip, but she really should have had help the whole cocktail hour. I should not have had lines at the bar like that.
I am afraid I cannot recommend the service. The fact that there ""was a fight in the bar"" was not an excuse for my favours and cake not being attended to. The upstairs staff should deal with that.
