Beware! I purchased a gift card from this restaurant as a Christmas gift to a friend. When she tried to use it, she as told it only had 10 cents on it and that it was a $25 dollar gift card. This place is reselling used gift cards. When I addressed the issue with the manager, she made me find the info from the day I purchased it in my bank records, and she then told me the one I bought and the one my friend used had two different gift card numbers. I told her there must have been some mistake on their part and the waitress handed me the wrong giftcard on the day I bought it. It was very frustrating and difficult to resolve. The manager made me feel as if my friend and I were lying and trying to reuse an old gift card, which was not the case at all. I also double checked with my friend to make sure she didn't have another Chai gift card and got them mixed up. She assured me she had never had a gift card from there before, besides the one I gave her. Luckily it was only $15 dollars and not $50! It's the principle behind the matter. The manager should have been more polite, resolved the issue for us, and admitted their mistake. By the way, the manager knows my co-workers and I eat lunch there all the time. I used to enjoy this restaurant, but they will not be getting any of my money ever again.
