Businiess name:  Capurro's Restaurant and Bar

Review content:
I first discovered Capurro's on a trip to Fisherman's Wharf with my family who were visiting from out of town--I live here in San Francisco. Capurro's made such an impression on me that I have returned on several occasions with different groups of friends and have yet to be disappointed in any way. Unlike most restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf, Capurro's is newly built and so is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated with mahogany beams in the ceiling, a fabulous mahogany bar, and big comfortable booths. There is a cosy, welcoming atmosphere despite its size. This welcoming atmosphere is not only created by the decor; Capurro's is owned and run by the Capurro family, most of whom are there all the time and are extremely attentive. Because I have been several times now I have gotten to know Paul and Lou (father and son) and they truly make their guests feel like family too. There is also a jazz trio which provides free entertainment Thursday through Sunday--I've even seen people up dancing! Most importantly, the food at Capurro's is out of this world! They have changed the menu several times since I have been going, and each time it gets better. I highly recommend the pizzas and of course, the fresh seafood which they get straight off the boat from the local fishermen. The meat raviolis are an old family recipe and are made by hand by Paul Capurro himself--they are to die for! And all their desserts are homemade also--the flourless chocolate cake and the chocolate creme brulee are a must. In short, Capurro's is the full package: excellent food, excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. San Franciscans shouldn't wait til they have out of town guests to make the trip to the Wharf to see what Capurro's has to offer. Pros: Food, Parking, Family run, ambience
