Review content:
I have three small dogs that are very reluctant to go with anyone except me. They are also very reluctant to be seperated from each other. At Stonehedge Kennel, the owner is also the person who works personally with your dog. He really cares that each and every dog not only is safe, secure and well fed during it's stay but that it is content. My dogs especially needed extra attention the first two visits because they were scared to be away from home. He did not seperate them to sleep, only to eat so he could closely monitor that they were all eating. They had never been known to be that thrilled to be around other dogs but Sylvain grouped them with some older dogs that were very calm and my dogs really enjoyed themselves. They gained a certain confidence at the kennel that I have taken advantage of on my own time when I bring them to the dog park. We live in New York City and it is such a treat to bring the dogs to Stonehedge. The scenery is beautiful, the pens for socialization time are all wooded and shaded, and in the summer time they even have their own pools. There are brightly colored umbrellas everywhere, white stone gravel, and huge tall trees that create an atmosphere that is anything like your standard kennel. For all the services that they offer and the individual attention that each dog receives the prices are very reasonable. I really enjoy the fact that I am charged when I drop off the dogs that way I know exactly how much I have spent before I leave to go wherever I am going. There are no hidden charges at check out which some kennels have tried to push on me in the past. They also offer training (done by the owner himself) full grooming services and day care. All in all I have breathed easier since I have found Stonehedge Kennel. Traveling in the past used to be so nervewrecking because I did not know my dogs were happy and healthy....now that I have that under control I will have to find something else to stress about!
Pros: The owners live on the same property. 24 hour availability for your pet!
Cons: That you can't stay there with your dog too!
