I went to Dr. Gerdes because for 6 weeks I was having severe pain in my upper neck, right shoulder blade, and into my right arm. I somehow injured myself during a softball game, and figured it would go away after a few days. A couple weeks in, after sleepless nights and a lot of pain, I decided to see a chiropractor. I did two a days, acupunture, ultra sounds, etc... and nothing seemed to touch or relieve the pain. I started taking pain pills but that didnt seem to work much either. I had enough. We scheduled an appointment to meet with Dr. Gerdes. \r \r Krista, I believe is who went through things with us, and another Dr., who I wish I could remember his name, were outstanding in guiding me through the whole process and gave me options and let me see theCD-scan and cross sections of what was happening with me. I decided to have surgery immediately.\r \r I had surgery on July 31st, and was in major pain up until they wheeled me into the surgery room. I awoke a few hours after surgery, and all my pain was gone. Aside from the normal sore throat, and tenderness from surgery, I felt totally awesome.\r \r The staff @ Central Minnesota Nueroscience was very professional and thorough with me, and although nobody ever wants to have surgery, I highly recommend anyone with pain from an injury like mine to give them some thought and check it out. Pros: The staff let you know what to expect, and were extremely helpful Cons: Cant think of any
