Review content:
I went to the Sunset Hills Bread Company this evening with my family. As I was waiting for my food, I watched the employee prepare my steakhouse salad. She was talking to another co-worker and accidently bumped the bag of steak into the trash can. She then proceeded to pick the bag out of the trash can (with the same pair of gloves) and take the meat out of the bag to put on my salad. I told her that I saw what had happened. She then told me that the meat was still in the bag so it was no big deal. I asked her not to put that steak on my salad and she told me that I wouldn't have enough steak for my salad then.
When I asked to talk with the manager, it took about 5 minutes for a lady to come out with a container of meat. She did not acknowledge anything had happened and continued to prepare my salad. I asked if she was the manager and she claimed she was. I repeated what had just happened and she blew it off like it was no big deal. I told her I would like something else and she gave me the choice of a soup and salad (2 dollars less than what I had paid for the steakhouse salad). I chose the greek salad and soup. And then watched the same girl (with the same pair of gloves) prepare my salad. Needless to say, I avoided my greek salad.
So I guess my point is to watch closely when your food is being prepared. Not only am I disgusted by the food preparation by this individual but I am very disappointed at the terrible customer service I received from the management staff. Plus I was shorted $2.30. They could have at least thrown in a cookie. That will be my last stop at the Sunset Hills Bread Co!
Cons: poor customer service and unhealthy food preperation
