For people who remember and love the 'Dube from its glory days, things have changed. The food is much more expensive (though now edible and even good), you can't smoke, but then again there are no more 16 y/o kids trying to get served or playing crappy teen pop on the jukebox. The service is still spotty, although much better than it was and the selection at the bar seems to grow geometrically. \r \r The bar staff are great people - surly and engaging at the same time. You can get a decent if somewhat less than expertly prepared cocktail, and most of the prices aren't bad. You can listen to anything on the jukebox you can conjure in your imagination. PBR tallboys are $1 all the time. There is nothing at all pretentious or affectatious about the 'Dube at all. It is, in essense, the perfect dive. Pros: Barstaff, parking, PBR. Cons: Panhandlers, hipsters.
