I was sick of ""service fees"" constantly being added to my Waste Management bill so I thought I'd go with someone local. Canyon offered recycling, which WM doesn't in my neighborhood, and their fee was about 15% lower including recycling.\r
Now to the actual service- I've been getting a story about their recycle bins being on backorder for 12 weeks now. The first month my recycling was just thrown away, even though it was obviously recycling in a green basket, the first week had a recycling sign on it that was destroyed. There was no communication on holiday pickup and now my trash hasn't been picked up for the third week in a row! Calls to them usually get the trash picked up, but really, how many excuses will I get next week when they skip me again? Will the truck breakdown and the driver forget where he left off? Is it a new driver not following the route? Just absent mindedness? Or will they suggest I missed them, when I secure my trash at the end of the drive THE NIGHT BEFORE.\r
I'm running out of options for trash service with recycling.
Pros: better rates than Waste Mgmt
Cons: They ""forget"" to pick up your trash
