It's unrealistic to expect stellar service each time you eat out, but I have never been more disappointed in the service at a restaurant more than at Eat Well. I ate at the Santa Monica location in 2004 and had an okay experience. It was a weekend, service was slow, and the food was so so - runny eggs, overcooked bacon, and burned toast. However, when the newest location on Beverly Blvd. opened up just a short walk from our home, I was anxious to try it again. We arrived at the restaurant late one weekday afternoon and were greeted by a young, couldn't be bothered to be working that day hostess who abruptly told us that the restaurant was closing in 10 minutes and that the kitchen was already closed. She then walked back inside without so much of a have a nice day. I felt the hostess was rude and unwelcoming, but decided to return another day hoping for a better experience. \r

Several months went by before we went again. This time on a Thursday at 2pm. The restaurant was less than half full and we chose to sit outside. After sitting for a few minutes, a busboy brought us silverware and water and said a waiter would be by to take our order shortly. 5 minutes later and still no waiter. We decided to move inside hoping for better service. We sat ourselves right in front of the bar in visual sight of the bartender, kitchen staff, etc. A few minutes later, a waiter wisk?d by and said he would be with us shortly. A few more minutes went by and I overheard the bartender ask one of the two visible waiters if he needed help. He said no. Two other tables were sitting waiting patiently to have someone take their order before we came inside. After waiting for a total of 10 minutes inside, we gave up and walked out. \r

Overall, the staff seems to lack organization, direction, and an overall concern for the patrons who have come to eat. Again, it was as if they couldn?t be bothered to be working. Don?t waste your time here?..go eat well somewhere else!
Pros: Good menu selection, reasonable prices, nice street side patio
Cons: Parking, Service,
