Review content:
I ate at Mesa Grill a couple times and I mostly enjoyed my experiences. The restaurant seems to do brisk business and has somewhat cramped seating. Although I don't care for the interior design (a bit too punchy for me), it certainly didn't stun my senses. This is definitely not an intimate dining spot. It is a fun place to go with friends, though. \r

The menu offers plenty of options (a few veggie appetizers, one veggie entree). Although on the smaller side, the wine list was quite good. Okay, I've seen Bobby Flay cook on TV and I expected some moderate spiciness, but I couldn't stop sniffling when I had the bass in a jalapeno sauce. I love spicy food, and I really enjoyed the dish, but it was a bit much. I've also had the salmon entree, which is quite delicious, although the sauce was too sweet. The Southwestern fries were OK and slightly overcooked. \r

My favorite part of the restaurant is the service, which isn't something that I often like about dining out. My server the first time was friendly and attentive despite the frenetic crowd (expect dinner to last a while). I ate at the bar the second time and enjoyed that experience as well. Considering the dishes, I think that they're priced on the higher side, but not expensive (*not* to say that it's inexpensive). Expect a 3-course meal with drinks to cost about $100 per person, pre-tax and tip. \r
Pros: service, spicy dishes
Cons: cramped
