Businiess name:  Al's Lawn Mower Sales & SVC

Review content:
I took my 3 year old Toro mower to Al's last May for a tune-up, oil change and overall service. It was not finished by the ""date promised."" I thought, ""okay, no big deal.""\r \r A week later, I picked up the mower and took it home to mow the lawn. I cranked it up, it fired, ran rough and immediately seized up! Upon inspection, it had NO OIL IN THE CRANKCASE.\r \r I immediately returned it (less then 20 minutes later. They did not recognize me. I told them the motor seized due to no oil in the crank case. They asked me how long it had been since I had picked it up (?)\r \r After another week, they told me it had thrown a rod, and they fixed it at no-charge. They warranteed their work for one-year, which I had them put in writing.\r \r This year, last week, I pulled my mower out to mow for the second time this season, and noticed a ring of oil on the chassis. While mowing my small lawn, the oil leak became much worse. I took it back to Al's. They had ""lost"" my paperwork.. Al said, without any paperwork, the warranty was void.\r \r I took my mower back to the house, and searched until I found my copies of the warranty. I then returned to Al's and hauled my mower back in. After waiting another 20 minutes in line. I gave them a copy of my signed warranty and explained that I thought the main seal was leaking after their engine repair. They gave me a new service slip and a new ""date promised.""\r \r This afternoon, after working a full day of overtime myself, I called to ask about the status of my mower. After being put on hold for over 10 minutes, and being asked what I was calling about 3 different times, a rude and arrogant person by the name of Allen yelled at me and said ""we are very busy here!"" When I explained how long I had been on hold and how many times I had been asked the same question, his only response about the readiness of my mower was ""it's probably not ready."" Really? It took you 10 minutes to ascertain my mower was ""probably not"" ready, by the ""date promised?"" \r \r Did you not consider that the rest of us are all busy, as well? \r \r I have already found another small enigine repair shop. The service is more professional, more customer service oriented, and their repairs more timely. I will not be returning to Al's for anything else and will activley advise all acquaintances to avoid using Al's ""services."" Pros: ??? Cons: Rude, arrogant, unethical, incompetent.
