Review content:
I just checked my alarm for the third month in a row and no response. I am supposed to call them when it is not working, but almost every single time I check it the alarm system is not working. They charged me monthly to protect my home when I was deployed to Djibouti in 2009/2010 for 10 months; I arrived home to find that the alarm had not worked in months. In addition, 2 months prior they automatically cancelled my autopay, and started sending me bills in the mail. I was deployed, did not receive them, and they turned the service off. They threatened me with a $1300 fee to cancel the contract (a fee not explained in the in my contract) or $150 to reinitate service and continue with them, forcing me into two more years...I reluctantly agreed. Most months the alarm does not work at all when I self check it. When I call for service, Safetouch can only accommodate me during normal business hours when I too am working (in GA)...unless I take a day off and sit around all day and wait for them, or be charged an extra fee for after hours or weekends. The only thieves I have had to worry about since I started service in 2005 is SAFETOUCH. I am very, very disappointed. I tried to cancel before and they put me on a month to month. Recently my credit card was lost, the number was changed, and they can no longer charge me so I just got my first bill in the mail. I just wrote them again and asked them to cancel. I reported them to the BBB...we shall see.
