Review content:
I went to the sitting room for the first time tonight with a friend. We were looking for a glass of wine and some small plates to share. The house red was fine, but the food was a HUGE disappointment. It just wasn't good. I ordered the chevre roasted red pepper spread and a bowl of tomato basil soup. The spread was mediocre at best. You could barely taste the chevre; the red pepper flavor was overwhelming. The tomato soup was the real disappointment. It looked like they poured a can of tomato sauce into a bowl and added some flakes of dried basil. I only ate about 5 bites. I mean, tomato basil soup?? Seems like that should be pretty hard to mess up. I was annoyed at wasting my money (even though it was cheap) and the calories. Both my friend and I agreed we will never go there again, despite the fact that she only lives one block away.\r
