With a recommendation from our Realtor, I hired Jared Finn of Pillar to Post in Orem, UT to perform a home inspection for a home purchase. Pillar to Post is a chain franchise, so I can only speak for Pillar to Post in Orem, UT, specifically Jared. I actually hired Jared twice in the last couple months, because of what he discovered in the first inspection.\r

During the first home inspection Jared discovered a major issue with the home, which pursuaded me to walk away from that property. Then, when I found a different home, I definitely wanted to use Jared again.\r

When purchasing a new home a quality home inspector is money well spent, and Jared has been well worth the cost of the inspection. First of all he is professional, responsive to communication and he took the time to walk me through all the details, not to mention taking additional time to answer my uneducated home construction questions. Jared did not seem cut corners or skip any accesssable part of the house. He has a construction and analytical background, and if it weren't for his expertise and attention to detail, I could have easily purchased the first home even though it had a very questionable history.\r

In addition, Jared gave me good recommendations for contractors for repair work, and having used Pillar to Post, I now have access to some significantly discounted offers for appliances and moving services.\r

All told, I did have to pay a nominal travel fee for him to inspect the second property, which was considerable outside his immediate service area, I would happily do it again, and I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone, including friends & family.
