Review content:
We purchased a car from Prestman Auto because we saw that they offered cars at significant savings and we wanted to get a good deal like anyone. They promise that the cars have been inspected to ensure years of worry-free driving. But we have learned the hard way that this is a dealership to avoid at all costs. Here is my list of reasons for your consideration:\r
\r
1. The cars have been in significant accidents, and the body shop that they use cut corners everywhere. Prestman Auto doesn’t reveal the extent of the accident or damage, so it’s a buying risk that should be avoided. We found this out the hard way as we have now had to put $2000 extra dollars into multiple repairs just to bring our CJ Prestman car up to code and be able to drive it safely. We’ll also have to spend more money soon since the tires aren’t all the same brand or tread wear. And who knows if there are additional problems lurking that we haven’t discovered yet.\r
\r
2. There is no money-back guarantee on these cars, so once you drive it off the lot you are going to find hidden problems that they don’t tell you about, and won’t help you pay for. In our case, the check engine light came on the next day, which led to several trips to various auto shops for repairs on the body, frame, and fuel system. We were told by Prestman Auto that we bought it as is, and it’s not their problem anymore.\r
\r
3. The dealership did not have a title for the car they sold us, and we found this out as they took months to get our license plates.\r
\r
4. You will never receive a response to any email message or phone call that you leave for the sales department, so the customer service ends after the sale is made. I don’t even remember the sales person’s name, as they have not even followed up with us since we drove our car off the lot.\r
\r
In conclusion, with the numerous reputable car dealerships in the Salt Lake area, please do not be lured in by the thought of saving extra money at this dealership. Prestman Auto has caused us a lot of personal stress and frustration, which is the exact opposite of what a car purchase should make you feel. I would give zero stars if I could.\r
