Review content:
I had my truck towed in by TPD. I know I did something wrong to have the truck towed. But that does not give them the right to take property out of the vehicle and not return it. I had my new $420.00 business phone in the truck, in a place it could not have fallen out. Well when I got the truck the phone was gone. I called TPD and Gary's no one seems to have the phone. I left it on for a few days so I could get voicemails from my clients, only to have it being used to call gay chat lines internet surfing, and other things. So to protect myself till I got the new phone I had to have it shut down. When
I got the new phone I found out that i missed out on atleast three jobs I had bid on. And only God knows how many others I don't know about. I'm sure that TPD did not take the phone, so that leaves Gary's. Oh and to make matters worse the truck was towed at night and the cargo/interior lights were left on. Now I have melted lenses to go with my missing phone, and lost bids. So my experience with Gary's cost me $420+ phone, $57 lenses, and $2500 at least from lost bids, that I know about.
With the city contract they can do as they please, because they will not be hurting from the bad experience they give the public. We will be back if we are unfortunate enough to have a run in with TPD that requires our vehicles to be towed.
When I got my new phone they had to activate my stolen one momentarily so I called it, and it sure sounded like the counter guy that took my money. Then he hung up and would not answer after that. So bye bye twenty day old phone. That the insurance does not cover for the first thirty days. So now I have purchased a lesser phone, without my contacts, client list, and calendar. Only to give it over to a thief that has no respect for others property, or the property of their employer. Or may be it's the bonus plan to employees to pinch whatever they want from the towed vehicles. And to the one good review i'm glad you are happy with Gary's, I would be right there with you on the good review if the theft did not happen. I believe if things are good no matter the circumstances, it needs to be heard. As a small business owner it's important to get feedback, from the public so I can better serve my clients. All of whom will get the thumbs down from me on Gary's Towing.
Pros: none I can remember
Cons: not a profesonal outfit
